Hanoi (VNA) ¡V Following a price increase
in the world market, Vietnam obtained a rubber latex export value of almost
300 million USD in the first quarter of this year, a 25 percent year-on-year
increase, despite a slight decrease in volume.
The country¡¦s rubber export revenue this year is expected to reach 1.5
billion USD, nearly 0.7 percent over last year, according to the Ministry
of Agriculture and Rural Development.
The volume of export latex this year is also expected to increase 4 percent
to 780,000 tonnes. In the first quarter alone, more than 130,000 tonnes
of latex was exported, a decrease of 4 percent.
In an effort to accelerate exports, the Rubber Association will continue
helping businesses to improve the product quality, register trademarks
and carry out trade promotion.
