The 7th Vietnam International Woodworking
Industry Fair 2007 opened its doors
to the public from Sept. 27th to 30rd
at the Phu My Hung International Exhibiton
Center (Temporary Halls), Ho Chi Minh
City. With 15,956 visitors and buyers
registered for the fair, it was a
most dynamic exhibition. The exhibition¡¦s
floor space covered around 13,500
sq. meters, with nearly 500 booths
of 245 well-known exhibitors from
21 international countries and areas
in participation. These included companies
from: Belgium, Chile, China, Denmark,
France, Finland, Germany, Hong Kong,
India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Malaysia,
Singapore, Spain, Switzerland, Taiwan,
Thailand, the U.S.A., Israel, Australia
and Vietnam ¡V creating a very international
and cosmopolitan atmosphere.
Vietnamwood
reached an impressive milestone
this year with the most number of
endorsements from international
woodworking- and furniture-related
industries and associations. The
show was supported by: the European
Federation of Woodworking Machinery
Manufactures (EUMABOIS), the Taiwan
Woodworking Machinery Association
(TWMA), the VDMA Association (Germany),
the ACIMALL Association (Italy),
ICE ¡V Italian Trade Commission -
Ho Chi Minh City and the AHEC ¡VAmerican
Hardwood Export Council. The support
from all these organizations truly
contributed to Vietnamwood¡¦s ever-increasing
worldwide importance and professionalism.
The fair presented both advanced
as well as practical woodworking
technologies and equipment. It attracted
industry representatives, entrepreneurs,
decision-makers, government representatives
and numerous journalists from around
the world. This event proved the
high value of the Vietnamese market
and allowed exhibitors to be able
to easily meet with their target
customers and also achieve their
sales goals because of the quality
and number of visitors.
The vast
majority of exhibitors have shown
interest in participating and exhibiting,
with much larger spaces, at the
next edition of the show which is
scheduled for September 24th ¡V 27th,
2009. The organizers conservatively
expect an attendance of about 18,000
professional visitors and buyers
to Vietnamwood 2009.
